Did you know that Manchester Museum offers free tours of its vivarium every Tuesday and Thursday?
Zoology students from the Manchester University will show you around the viv, where you can see a wide variety of live reptiles and amphibians, from snakes and crocs to tree frogs and chameleons. These tours are fascinating, highlighting the delicate balance of rainforest and jungle life and how important conservation is in the places these creatures live.
Tours start at 12pm and last for one hour. They can be booked online by emailing
