Three Bees, a trio of beekeepers based in South Manchester, offer a variety of interactive workshops that enable students of all ages to explore the interactions between honeybees, humans and the environment. Each workshop is tailored to suit the needs of the learner, emphasising key topics such as; Honeybees & other Bees, Plants & Pollination, Honeybee Habitats & the Hive, Honey Bee Anatomy and How Honey is Made. All workshops involve hive equipment, full beekeeper veils and honey, but no live bees! Visits to an apiary can be arranged. Particularly relevant for students at Key Stage levels one and two.
