Giant Salmon and Heron seen near the Mersey! PDF Print E-mail

A belated April Fool? Not quite, as these stunning sculptures commissioned by Southway Housing will brighten up greenspaces not far from the banks of the mighty River Mersey in South Manchester. They will also provide a fitting backdrop to some of the soon to be sown millions of Wildflowers as part of the kew Grow Wild! Tale of Two Cities project..

Crumpsall Close Neighbours are Blooming Marvellous! PDF Print E-mail

Local community members of the Crumpsall Close Neighbours Residents Association have planted tens of thousands of bulbs in this woodland glade on the banks of the River Irk in North Manchester in recent months - and now you can see the fantastic results!

As well as this stunning display of crocus and snowdrops, there's more to come.. bluebells are now waiting for their turn to bloom. The group have also worked with local children to build a bug hotel and put up lots of nest boxes. The group are now worthy recipients of a Biodiversity Hotspot Award! Well done Close Neighbours!
